Biograpy
Julie Brown is a Registered Psychotherapist with experience spanning over fifteen years providing services and developing training programs for therapists and clients in the mental health field. Her MSW (Clinical Focus) is from Wilfrid Laurier University. She joined the Adler Faculty in 2011 and is currently the Program Director and Lead Instructor for the Trauma Psychotherapy Certificate Program.
She recently accepted the position of Dean of Psychotherapy and is thrilled to be working to bring a Master of Psychotherapy Degree to ADLER.
A dynamic group leader, presenter and consultant, Julie has delivered keynote addresses and provided workshops in the areas of Attachment, Trauma Impact, Domestic Violence, and Psychobiological influences of Stress on Health. Julie also maintains a private practice in Guelph specializing in working with individuals, couples and families using Trauma-Informed and Relational focused therapy.
